Project Superintendent

  • • Understand codes applicable to project and insure compliance

    • Schedule subcontractors, material deliveries as indicated on the project schedule

    • Recognize safety concerns and enforce corrective measures

    • Understand sequence of construction and prioritizing critical paths

    • In-depth knowledge of blue prints and ability to identify defects and take corrective actions

    • Motivated and proactive problem identifying and solving skills for upcoming activities

    • Ensure project budgets are maintained by actively seeking cost saving alternatives

    • Work with project team to provide planning of and implementation of successful project(s) from start to completion

    • Complete job related reports; daily, safety and scheduling and distribute accordingly

    • Conduct weekly job site coordination meetings with subcontractors

    • Meet with and interact with clients, architects, engineers and representatives to discuss project(s)

    • Communicate and schedule inspections

    • Report any possible delays and/ or quality issues to the project manager

Project Management

    • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion

    • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs

    • Meet contractual conditions of performance

    • Review the work progress on daily basis

    • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status

    • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve emerging ones

    • Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project

    • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements

    • Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks

    • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

Accounting

  • • Maintain construction management system, including setting up projects (jobs), budgets, job costs, cost codes, contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and various construction progress reports.

    • Manage process for proper coding and approval of construction invoices (payment applications) and lien releases for contractor and vendor invoices.

    • Maintain contract documents including records of lien releases in appropriate files.

    • Analyze and review construction status with Project/Construction Managers.

    • Prepare/gather materials related to construction and cost accounting matters for internal and external auditors.

    • Assist with the preparation of monthly invoice packages for all billable projects, including all applicable backup
